Terms and conditions

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and BeMee, operated by Iteca, Tomaž Ornik s.p. VAT Number: 23891084, Address: Zgornja Velka 93 d, 2213 Zgornja Velka, Slovenia, Registration number: 8902569000 (hereinafter referred to as Iteca Solutions), a company registered in Slovenia. If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not use the BeMee platform or register an account and you must discontinue use of the app immediately.

Eligibility and Account Registration

Age Requirement
BeMee is intended solely for individuals who are at least 18 years old. By registering or using the platform, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. Individuals under 18 are prohibited from using the platform or creating an account.

Account Creation
To access certain features, registration is required, during which you must provide accurate and complete information. You set your username and password in the first step of registration. Your account must be activated by confirming the email before you can proceed with completing your profile and using all platform features.

Single Account Policy
Each user may create only one account using a unique email address. Registering multiple accounts or registering on behalf of another person without their explicit consent is prohibited and may result in account termination. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

Personal Use
The platform is for personal use only. Use by legal entities or for commercial purposes is not permitted unless explicitly authorized by BeMee.

Service Description

BeMee is a social networking and dating platform that connects users through a shared database across the BeMee website and affiliated partner sites (collectively, the “Platform”). The Platform offers:

Free Features: Basic functionalities, such as profile viewing, are available to all registered users at no cost.
Premium Features: Advanced functionalities, such as enhanced communication tools, messages and profile visibility, are available to users who purchase a subscription (“Membership”) or virtual currency (“BeMee Coins”).

BeMee does not guarantee successful matches, the accuracy of user-provided information, or the suitability of connections made through the Platform. Users engage with the Platform at their own risk.

User Conduct and Content

General Rules
You agree to use the Platform in accordance with these Terms and applicable laws of Slovenia. You are solely responsible for any content you post, share, or transmit, including text, images, and videos. Prohibited actions include, but are not limited to:

Posting or sharing obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, or illegal content.
Including personal contact information (e.g., phone numbers, email addresses, social media handles) in profiles or initial messages, unless permitted after mutual dialogue is established.
Engaging in commercial activities, such as advertising or soliciting, without prior approval from BeMee.
Uploading viruses, malware, or any content that could harm the Platform or its users. If such actions are detected, a minimum penalty fee of 1,000,000 € will be imposed. The final amount of the fee will be determined based on a comprehensive assessment of the damage caused.

Intellectual Property
By submitting content to the Platform, you grant BeMee a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute such content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform. You warrant that your content does not infringe on third-party intellectual property rights and that you have obtained necessary permissions for its use.

Content Monitoring
BeMee reserves the right, but is not obligated, to monitor, edit, or remove content that violates these Terms or is deemed inappropriate. BeMee is not responsible for user-generated content or its accuracy.

Privacy and Data Protection

BeMee processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which you acknowledge by accepting these Terms. Key points include:

Confidentiality: BeMee treats your personal data as confidential and uses it only for the purposes for which it was collected.
Cookies and Tracking: The Platform uses cookies and similar technologies to enhance user experience and analyze usage. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is prohibited. Images for app are taken from freepik.com.

Trademarks
“BeMee” and related marks are trademarks of Iteca Solutions. Partner trademarks displayed on affiliated sites belong to their respective owners.

User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit but grant BeMee the license described in above. If you believe your intellectual property rights have been violated, contact us through a support channel.

Safety and Interactions

Assumption of Risk
You assume all risks associated with online and offline interactions with other users, including but not limited to dating or in-person meetings. BeMee does not conduct background checks on users or verify the accuracy of their profiles.

Safety Precautions
You agree to exercise caution when sharing personal information or meeting other users in person. BeMee provides safety guidelines, which you should follow.

No Endorsement
BeMee does not endorse or guarantee the behavior, compatibility, or intentions of any user. You are solely responsible for your interactions with others.

Account Termination and Suspension

BeMee may suspend or terminate your account without prior notice if you violate these Terms, engage in illegal activities, or use the Platform in a manner deemed harmful or inappropriate. Termination may result in the loss of all account data, including virtual currency and purchased benefits, without refund.

By You
You may deactivate your account at any time through the account settings or by contacting us through the support channel. Deactivation does not automatically cancel recurring subscriptions.

Payments and Subscriptions

Membership Subscriptions
Premium features are accessible through paid Membership subscriptions, available in various durations (e.g., monthly, quarterly). Prices are displayed in Euros (€) and include VAT unless otherwise stated. Subscriptions may auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Cancellation instructions are available in your account settings.

Payment Methods
Supported payment methods include:

Credit/Debit Cards (Auto-Renewal): Mastercard and Visa. Auto-renewal can be canceled in account settings.
Mobile Payments (e.g., Apple and Google Pay): Available for select providers (e.g., Apple Pay, Google Pay). Auto-renewal cancellation varies by provider.
Crypto: We offer cryptocurrency as a payment option for premium features and services. Currently accepted currencies include BTC, ETH, XRP, XLM, USDC. All crypto transactions are final and non-refundable due to the irreversible nature of blockchain technology. Please double-check the amount and wallet address before completing your transaction. By using crypto payments, you agree to these conditions and take full responsibility for the accuracy of your payment details..

Electronic invoices are issued and sent via email if requested. All payment transactions are final and non-refundable. Your subscription renews automatically, but you can cancel anytime.

BeMee Coins

Introduction

Virtual Voucher (BeMee Coins)

BeMee Voucher – a multi-purpose voucher under Article 13.a of the Slovenian VAT Act (ZDDV-1)

The BeMee voucher is considered a multi-purpose voucher in accordance with Article 13.a of the Value Added Tax Act (ZDDV-1). By purchasing BeMee vouchers, the user acquires the right to use services within the BeMee application.

The VAT liability arises only when the voucher is redeemed for a specific service. Upon purchase, a confirmation of the voucher purchase is issued at the user’s request, without VAT being charged. When the voucher is redeemed for a service, an invoice with VAT included is issued.

The BeMee voucher is not money, not a cryptocurrency, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

BeMee Coins can be purchased to access certain features, such as sending virtual gifts or boosting profile visibility. Key terms:

Coins are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Unused Coins do not expire. However, if you delete your account, any Bubble Coins will be lost.
Coins do not represent real-world value and cannot be exchanged for cash.

BeMee Coins are the virtual currency used on the BeMee platform (bemee.si and the BeMee app). These terms govern the use of BeMee Coins, which enable access to premium features such as enhanced profile visibility, virtual gifts, super likes, and other functionalities described at bemee.si/en/bemee-coins. By using BeMee Coins, you agree to these terms.

Purchasing BeMee Coins

BeMee Coins can be purchased through the Platform’s store using payment methods such as credit cards or other available options.

The Operator reserves the right to modify prices without prior notice, which will not affect previously completed purchases.

Using BeMee Coins

BeMee Coins are non-transferable and valid only for use on the Platform. Their use is limited to the features available at the time of use.

Restrictions and Conditions

Prohibited Misuse: BeMee Coins must not be used for illegal or inappropriate activities, including harassing other users or violating Platform rules.
Validity: BeMee Coins, whether earned or purchased, have no expiration date unless otherwise specified by the Operator with at least 30 days’ notice. If you delete your account, you will also lose any unused Bubblee coins.
Non-Refundable: Purchased BeMee Coins are non-refundable, except in cases of the statutory 14-day withdrawal period for distance purchases. To exercise this right, contact support.

Any user found engaging in such activities will face immediate account termination and may be reported to the appropriate law enforcement authorities.

All reports of prostitution, escorting, or trafficking are investigated immediately. Confirmed violations result in account termination, content removal, and law enforcement notification where required.

Report Violation Policy

The platform provides a clearly visible “Report Abuse” button on every profile, allowing users to quickly flag any behavior or material that violates our Terms & Conditions, community guidelines, or legal requirements. All reports are reviewed promptly by our human moderation team to ensure accuracy and fairness. Users who repeatedly violate the rules, or whose content is confirmed as a violation, may face account suspension or permanent termination. This reporting system helps maintain a safe, respectful, and trustworthy environment for everyone on the platform.

Content Moderation & No-Compensation Rule

All content on the platform, including profile information, photos, messages, and posts, is subject to strict human moderation. Our moderation team manually reviews every submission to ensure compliance with community guidelines, safety standards, and legal requirements.

The platform strictly enforces a no-compensation rule: users may not offer, request, or promote any sexual services, prostitution, escort services, or any form of content that involves exchange of sexual activities for money, gifts, or other compensation. Any violation of this rule will result in immediate account suspension or termination and may be reported to law enforcement authorities.

This combined approach of careful content moderation and a strict no-compensation policy ensures a safe, respectful, and authentic environment for all members seeking genuine connections.

No Ads for Escort / Prostitution Services

The platform strictly prohibits any advertisements, promotions, or solicitations related to escort services, prostitution, or any form of sexual services in exchange for compensation. Users are not allowed to post such content in profiles, messages, galleries, or any other section of the app. Any violation of this rule will lead to immediate removal of the content, account suspension or termination, and may be reported to law enforcement authorities. This policy ensures a safe, trustworthy, and authentic environment focused on genuine social and dating connections.

Human / Sex Trafficking Prevention Policy

The platform has a zero-tolerance policy for human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and any activities related to the coercion or exploitation of individuals. All profiles, messages, and content are carefully monitored through manual human and AI moderation to detect and prevent any signs of trafficking or exploitation. Users are strictly prohibited from promoting, facilitating, or engaging in any form of human or sex trafficking.

Any suspicious activity is immediately investigated, and accounts involved in violations are permanently banned. In addition, relevant reports are promptly forwarded to appropriate law enforcement authorities to ensure the safety and protection of all users. This policy reinforces the platform’s commitment to providing a safe, secure, and ethical environment for genuine social and dating interactions.

Law Enforcement Protocol

The platform cooperates fully with law enforcement authorities to ensure user safety and compliance with applicable laws. Any content or user activity that violates legal regulations, including but not limited to human trafficking, sexual exploitation, or illegal solicitation, will be promptly reported.

When requested by law enforcement, the platform provides necessary information, including user data, activity logs, and content records, to assist in investigations. Users found engaging in illegal or harmful activities may face immediate account suspension or termination and legal consequences. This protocol ensures a secure environment while supporting authorities in preventing and addressing criminal activity.

Underage & Consent Controls

The platform enforces strict policies to protect minors and ensure that all users engage in interactions with full, informed consent. Users must be at least 18 years old to register, and all profile information, including photos and content, is manually reviewed by our moderation team to verify age and authenticity.

Any content or behavior suggesting underage participation or non-consensual activity is immediately flagged, reviewed, and removed. Accounts involved in such violations are permanently banned and may be reported to law enforcement authorities. These controls ensure a safe, responsible, and respectful environment where all interactions are consensual and age-appropriate.

To ensure the authenticity and safety of all users, the platform requires email verification and ID verification combined with a selfie liveness check during signup. For ID verification users must submit a valid government-issued ID along with a real-time selfie to confirm their identity.

Our human moderation team manually reviews all submissions to verify that the ID matches the user and that the selfie demonstrates live presence, preventing fraud, fake profiles, or impersonation. Accounts failing verification or attempting to bypass the process are denied access or permanently suspended. This procedure provides a secure and trustworthy environment, ensuring that all members are genuine and accountable.

Modifications to the Service

BeMee may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time without prior notice. Significant changes affecting your access or use will be communicated clearly. If such changes materially impact your experience, you may terminate your account. All payment transactions are final and non-refundable.

Third-Party Links

The Platform may include links to third-party websites or services. BeMee is not responsible for the availability, content, or accuracy of these external resources.

Technical Support

Support is available Monday to Friday, 9:00–16:00 Central European Time (CET) via support channel. The Platform operates 24/7, but BeMee does not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free performance.

Dispute Resolution

Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Slovenia, excluding its conflict of law provisions. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Jurisdiction
Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the Platform shall be resolved exclusively by the competent court in Maribor, Slovenia.

Consumer Disputes
BeMee does not recognize out-of-court consumer dispute resolution providers under the Slovenian Consumer Dispute Resolution Act. EU residents may use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.

Amendments to Terms

BeMee may update these Terms at its discretion. You will be notified of material changes, and continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The current Terms are always available.
